Scouters

Scouter Uniform:

Scouters wear a red Uniform shirt and Khaki pants. Optional belt is brown. A necker indicates their group affiliation and a leather Gilwell Woggle designates their completion of Woodbadge training.

How to Volunteer as a Scouter:

The 1st Uxbridge Group is always seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help us facilitate the Scouting Program. There are a few steps to becoming a Scouter.
1. Register on myscouts.ca as a volunteer for the desired section.
2. Agree to the Scouts Canada Code of Conduct.
3. Complete a successful interview with our Group Commissioner and another Scouter.
4. Obtain a clean Police Records check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (we will provide you with a volunteer letter for DRPS).
5. Complete the Scouting Fundamentals online training, which includes Respect In Sport for Activity Leaders.
6. Don the Scouter uniform and start having great, safe Scouting adventures!

How to Volunteer as a Parent Helper:

All youth, but Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts especially, benefit from parent volunteer participation at meetings, activities, and camps. We welcome all parents to come out to help but there are screening requirements in place that must be completed depending on a volunteer's level of participation.
A chart outlining these requirements can be found on the Scouts Canada Website

Group Committee:

The 1st Uxbridge Group Committee is an integral part of the structure of our local Scouting organization. Learn more about us on the Group Committee Page.
